Israel says West Bank barrier should be border with Palestine
(VOVworld)- Israeli negotiators Tuesday told Palestinian negotiators that the separation barrier that cuts through the West Bank should serve as the border of a future Palestinian state.

Israeli National Radio quoted the opinion of government leaders that the future border should be the West Bank barrier, not the 1967 border demanded by Palestinians. Palestinians have consistently said that any negotiation must acknowledge the pre-1967 border as the official border between Israel and Palestine. However, Israel always rejects this notion, and did not acknowledge the 2004 resolution of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) concerning the West Bank barrier, which is often called the Green line.
