(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday during a tour of the border with Lebanon that Israel is prepared for strong action. He said security will be restored there "one way or another".

The Israel Defense Forces said they are operating “both above and below ground” in eastern parts of Deir al-Balah and the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. Several Hamas members have been reported killed. Witnesses and Palestinian civil defense and hospital officials said Israel’s latest airstrike on central Gaza killed more than 10 people.
The latest negotiations for a truce in Gaza and an exchange of hostages and prisoners between Israel and Hamas took place in Doha, Qatar, on Wednesday. There was a tripartite meeting between Hamas representatives, Qatar's Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Egypt’s intelligence chief Abbas Kamel, to discuss a ceasefire plan announced by US President Joe Biden on May 31.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Israel will continue its attacks on Gaza while negotiations continue without reaching an agreement.
