An article titled “Vietnam: A Bright Star in Asia”, published by the Jerusalem Post, praised Vietnam’s pursuit of a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, openness, diversification, multilateralization of external relations, and active international integration. This policy has helped Vietnam establish a network of 30 strategic and comprehensive partners and join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTTP), the article noted.
It quoted forecasts by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) that Vietnam’s economy will grow 2.7% in 2020 and 4.9% in 2021 despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Israeli edition of Forbes magazine said that despite the effects of COVID-19, Vietnam is one of Southeast Asia’s brightest economies. The magazine mentioned Vietnam’s impressive efforts to attract 36 billion USD in foreign direct investment this year.
