It will be harder for Iran oil importers to get waivers, US says
(VOVWORLD) - US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Sunday it will now be harder for countries to get waivers on Iran oil sanctions than during the Obama administration.

He said countries will have to reduce their Iranian oil purchases 20 per cent from 2015 levels to get waivers. His statement came 2 weeks before US sanctions on Iran oil and financial transactions take effect. Iran’s oil exports are forecast to drop two thirds as a result of the sanctions.
