Ivory Coast top legislator’s visit marks a new milestone in bilateral relations
(VOVWORLD) -President of the National Assembly of Ivory Coast Adama Bictogo on Tuesday begins an official four-day visit to Vietnam at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Vuong Dinh Hue.

The visit is the first by a senior leader of the West African country to the Southeast Asian nation since the two set up their diplomatic ties 48 years ago.
During his stay, Adama Bictogo is expected to have talks and meetings with Vietnamese leaders where they will evaluate measures to increase bilateral trade turnover to be commensurate with the great potential of each country in a more balanced direction, and discuss ways to improve the efficiency of signed agreements and promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides will examine measures to further strengthen cooperation on parliamentary diplomacy, increase the exchange of parliamentarians, and share experience in organizing parliamentary activities in order to innovate and improve the operational efficiency of the legislative body.
