Japan accuses 3 Chinese vessels of intruding into Japanese waters
(VOVworld)- Japan Coast Guard (JCG) said that three China
Coast Guard vessels sailed into Japanese territorial waters Friday afternoon
near the Senkaku Islands
in the East China Sea.
The incident took place
at around 2 pm local time and was China’s first intrusion this year.
China Coast Guard ships last entered the waters on December 30th. A
coast guard patrol ship issued a warning urging the ships, identified as the
Haijing 2115, 2151 and 2337, to leave the area. A response transmitted from one
of the vessels claimed the waters belonged to China.
