Japan’s Sankei newspaper has reported that Japan has delayed plan to start trilateral Free Trade Agreement negotiation with South Korea and China in the context of increasingly tense diplomatic ties between Tokyo and Beijing over Diaoyu/ Sensaku islands.
The three countries planned to resume FTA negotiation at 21st ASEAN Summit scheduled to take place in Cambodia on Sunday. At the Summit between South Korea, China and Japan in Beijing in May, leaders of 3 countries committed to start negotiation so that FTA agreement can be signed at the end of this year.
