Japanese media: EVFTA contributes to boost Vietnam's economic growth in post-COVID 19
(VOVWORLD) - Japan’s daily Nihon Keizai on Wednesday wrote that the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement which is expected to be adopted by the NA this month, will benefit its signatories and enterprises in other countries.
The article said Vietnam and the EU will eliminate 99% of tariffs within 10 years which will help increase Vietnam’s exports to the EU. Japanese businesses in Vietnam will also benefit from the agreement. The EVFTA is expected to restore Vietnam’s export growth because Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia to restore economic activities in the post-COVID-19 while the epidemic is still hurting all economies around the world.
