Japanese PM arrives in Vietnam for official visit

(VOVWORLD) - Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru and his spouse arrived in Hanoi on Sunday, beginning a three-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse.

The Japanese PM was welcomed at Noi Bai international airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Vu, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu. 

PM Ishiba’s visit aims to further expand relations with the Southeast Asian region, particularly Vietnam, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki told the press prior to the visit.
