(VOVWORLD) - The second rehearsal for the grand parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification took place on Le Duan Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, on Tuesday.

The event featured the participation of 38 marching units including 25 from the Army, 13 from the Police, and 25 from the militia along with parade units from the Lao People’s Armed Forces and the Royal Cambodian Army, and 12 parade units of social organizations. Notably, for the first time, a large-scale joint artistic performance was incorporated into the program, involving over 1,000 performers.
Earlier that morning, formations of helicopters and fighter jets conducted flight rehearsals over Ho Chi Minh City.
Following this drill, the parade units are scheduled for a preliminary review on Friday and a State-level rehearsal on Sunday, both on Le Duan Street.
The official parade and march will commence at 6:30 a.m. on April 30, with the participation of around 13,000 individuals.
