Party official expresses condolences over death of Pope Francis
(VOVWORLD) - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of its Commission for Communication, Education, and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia has sent a letter of condolences to the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam following the passing of Pope Francis.
Mr. Nghia expressed his deep sorrow when learning about the passing of Pope Francis, the supreme spiritual leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
With his far-reaching influence and exemplary life of faith, Pope Francis made positive contributions to promoting peace and social justice as well as protecting the poor. He also had warm sentiments towards Vietnam and contributed positively to the development of Vietnam-Holy See relations.
