Japanese PM plans to visit Vietnam, Europe
(VOVWORLD) - Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is planning to visit Southeast Asia including Vietnam during the Golden Week holidays, seeking to strengthen cooperation amid China’s growing assertiveness in the region, Japanese media reported on Tuesday.

Kishida is expected to travel to Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand in early May to underscore cooperation toward realizing the vision of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
He is also considering a visit to Europe during the holiday, which will start in late April, and is expected to discuss how to respond to the Ukrainian crisis, Japanese diplomatic sources said.
