The Japanese cabinet is expected to approve the new guidelines next week which won’t allow the exports of weapons to countries involved in conflicts, including those violating UN resolutions, except for those promoting international cooperation and Japan’s security interests. The government will also seek to ensure that the country’s defense equipment is not transferred to third parties.
