(VOVWORLD) - Minister and Chairman of the Government’s Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, Hau A Lenh on Tuesday attended a gathering to celebrate the Chol Chnam Thmay Festival of the Khmer people in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.

Mr. Lenh said that living standards of the Khmer people are improving, and rural areas are undergoing positive changes, thanks to the support from the Party, State, sectors, and local authorities.
“I hope the local Khmer community will continue to uphold patriotism, foster national unity, embrace self-reliance, and join hands with other ethnic groups to achieve the locality’s socio-economic development goals for 2024,” he said.
During the event, Minister Lenh presented gifts to the provincial Patriotic Monks’ Solidarity Association and gave 100 gifts to local individuals.
