The Kim Thanh International Border Gate between Vietnam’s Lao Cai and China’s Yunnan has opened. Lao Cai - He Kou International border gate pairs plays an important role in economic and trade exchanges across the land border becoming the gateway to the Kunming-Lao Cai-Ha Noi-Hai Phong economic corridor. Through this gate, major imports are fertilizers, fresh fruits while planks and dry cassava are mainly exported. Vietnam and China have agreed to open the crossing border from 7 a.m. in the morning to 7 p.m. in the evening on Hanoi time zone.
