(VOVWORLD) - The "Kitesurfing Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan Open Tournament 2023” opened on Saturday in Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province.

The event organized by the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces is part the National Tourism Year 2023- Binh Thuan - Green Convergence.
More than 100 male and female athletes representing 18 nations took part in the competition. This is an opportunity for Ninh Thuan to introduce its potential with climate and stunning beaches favorable to host international kitesurfing competitions.

Lai Hoang Phi, Deputy Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee, said: “My Hoa Beach attracts a large number of kite surfers to Ninh Thuan, about 2,000 - 3,000 every year. My Hoa is a unique beach with lots of wind and sunshine that is favorable for kitesurfing.”
