Korean press: RoK President pledges to strengthen ties with Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - President of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Moon Jae-in’s visit to Vietnam is believed to reflect his initiative to expand Korea’s economic markets all over the world.

The Korea JoongAng Daily, published in English on Thursday, said that Vietnam is one of the fast growing economies in Indochina, a young, dynamic country with a 100 million population with an average age of just 30. It added that taking pride in amazing growth as high as 6.8 percent last year – second only to China in the world – Vietnam is Korea’s third largest export market following China and the US. It said Vietnam is also a potential security partner of the Republic of Korea. The article said President Moon’s visit to Vietnam shows his determination to improve Seoul’s relations with Hanoi.
