The SOHR chief Rami Abdel Rahman said SDF advanced to Manbij from the southern edge with air strike support by the US-led coalition.
Shootings erupted as they entered the city and two SDF fighters were killed when a bomb was detonated inside a building. Rahman SDF soldiers pushed into Manbij hours after they seized control of a village southwest of the city.
