Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, congratulated and praised the achievements the Lai Chau Party Committee and people have recorded over the years. He urged the province to capitalize on its advantages and mobilize resources for sustainable development. He said Lai Chau must focus on environmental protection, natural disaster mitigation, technological application, agricultural processing, building new rural areas, social welfare, and improving ethnic people’s living standards.

Mr. Vuong called for further efforts to develop society and economy, ensure defense and security, maintain political stability, and safeguard independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, while building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation, and long-term stability.

On the occasion, Politburo member Vuong, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, bestowed the Independence Order, first class, on the Party Committee, administration, and people of Lai Chau.
