(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has conferred the title “heroic city” to Lao Cai on the 65^thanniversary of the city’s Party cell on Saturday.

This was in recognition of the city’s progress, especially in annual growth rate of 16.5% since 2005 with per capita income tripled over the past 5 years. Proper economic restructuring has enabled the city to raise local people living standards, ensure national security and social order while expanding foreign relations.
