Choummaly Sayasone, Party General Secretary and President of Laos

(VOVworld) - Party General Secretary and President of Laos, Choummaly Sayasone, on Friday evening arrived in Vientiane, concluding his official visit to Vietnam.

Earlier, he paid a visit to Ho Chi Minh City’s high-tech park. The economic zone is to attract foreign investment, mobilize domestic resources in science and technology, coordinate between productivity and research, develop high-tech area, and train human resources. In the 2013-2020 period the city’s high-tech park will gather intellectuals to research and renew technology. Choummaly Sayasone said: “I appreciate the high-tech park’s achievements. They will attract more companies and enterprises in science and technology research and obtain the Party’s development target. The achievements will contribute to socio-economic development in both Vietnam and Laos. We will follow Vietnam’s approach, exchange experience, and ask for your support in training and developing human resources.”
