Through surveying practical needs, supermarket traders and retail distributors came up with a list of five product groups to purchase from potential Vietnamese suppliers, including food; textiles and fashion accessories; leather shoes, handbags and accessories; sporting goods and equipment; household appliances and furniture.

The return of American retailers to Vietnam brings expectations for accelerated exports to this region, which is being promoted by a number of free trade agreements (FTAs).

Latin American region, which has 33 countries and needs to import goods worth 1.5 trillion USD per year, is a potential market for Vietnam's exports. Recently, trade and investment relations between Vietnam and this region have continuously developed. Within five years, two-way trade turnover has increased from 14.2 billion USD in 2018 to 20.6 billion USD in 2023.

Emerging markets such as Panama, Colombia, and Peru have become bright spots in trade exchange between Vietnam and Latin American regions with impressive growth rates.
