At a meeting on Saturday between Vietnamese French Tran To Nga, and lawyers of the “Bourdon & Forestier” law firm who are the plaintiffs in a lawsuit against 26 US chemical companies for providing defoliants to the US army during the war in Vietnam. On Saturday, Lawyer Bertrand Repold affirmed that evidence, documents, witnesses who are Agent Orange victims are the "weapons" that make the lawyers feel confident. Moreover, what the William Bourdon Forestier is doing are related to protecting human rights, one issue that is always supported by the world community. Lawyer Amelie Lafebvre said that the lawsuit was difficult and complicated because its documents are related to several countries including Vietnam, the US and France and the number involved parties is big. he said the lawsuit might prolong and the first trial might be held in the late 2016 or early. Because this is a chance to seek justice for millions of Vietnamese Agent Orange and to awake the American and international public of history and human-related issues, the William Bourdon Forestier is determined to pursue the lawsuit though it may take 10 or 20 years to finish.
