Addressing the event, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan emphasized the how much the “new rural standard” title means to Quang Minh and praised the efforts of each citizen, official and the political system.

She said, “I hope the Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Quang Minh commune, Van Yen district, and Yen Bai province continue to promote national solidarity and the spirit of emulation and creativity among people from all walks of life. Quang Minh commune needs to consolidate and develop the new rural commune model, striving to achieve a new countryside role model. In addition, the party committees, authorities, and grassroots Fatherland Front Committees need to encourage the people to well practice democracy and the village rules to build a cultural village and commune. ”

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan presented gifts to 4 villages of Quang Minh commune.

Also on Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh attended the National Unity Festival in a residential area in Vinh Trai ward, Lang Son city. He urged the border province of Lang Son to boost economic development, improve people's lives, and maintain national defense and security.

The Deputy Prime Minister presented 34,000 USD to Lang Son province to build 20 "Great Unity" houses.
