(VOVWORLD) - Lebanon and Syria said on Thursday they will reopen a border crossing closed five years ago.

The move came after Islamic State fighters were driven from the region. The crossing, one of 5 borders gates which have been closed since 2012 due to fighting in Syria, will reopen Friday morning.
