(VOVworld) – The Fatherland Fronts of Vietnam’s provinces and cities held their third consultative meetings on Wednesday to reach consensus on official lists of candidates to the 14^th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2016-2021 term.

In Binh Phuoc province, all deputies agreed on an eight-member list for the 14^th legislature. The list for the provincial People’s Council includes 108 candidates.

At the third consultative meeting of Tra Vinh province, eight people and 83 people were nominated  to the legislative body and the provincial People’s Council respectively. Half of the candidates are women and 37.5% are ethnic minorities.

In Tien Giang, deputies adopted an official list of 11 candidates to the 14^th NA, 36.6% of whom are young people. Female candidates comprise 45.45%. A list of 108 nominees to the 2016-2021 tenure of the People’s Council was also approved.

Similar meetings were held in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Lam Dong, and Kien Giang province.
