Among the attendees were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and some other senior Party and State leaders. Vu Tien Thuat, a resident of Son La city, said:“As young people of the next generation, we feel proud and honored to live in today’s environment. Through this program we know that our predecessors sacrificed their lives to bring about today’s peaceful life. I need to be more responsible and build on what my predecessors left behind to create a more prosperous country.”

At the end of the program, the sky above the Victory Monument in Dien Bien Phu city was lit up by hundreds of lighted drones, which formed a symbolic image of the Dien Bien Phu Victory – the red flag of Vietnam soaring above the roof of the bunker of French Commander, General De Castries.
