(VOVWORLD) - On Monday, a delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu visited and presented gifts worth 13,000 USD to youth union members and workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang province.

Hieu asked local authorities to support immigrant workers and other vulnerable groups.
Hai Duong province raised 170,000 USD to help Bac Giang and Bac Ninh fight the pandemic. 260 teachers and students have volunteered to help the two provinces control their outbreaks.
The Vinh Phuc Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have asked organizations, businesses, agencies, and private citizens to support COVID-19 personnel. Vinh Phuc province has received nearly 700,000 USD in donations. The provincial Red Cross Society donated 130,000 USD, thousands of face masks, hand sanitizers, and protective clothing to local quarantine areas.
Vietnam Electricity (EVN) donated 65,000 USD to help Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, and Da Nang City fight the pandemic.
