Lunar New Year festivities enliven Sydney in 16 days

(VOVWORLD) -The Australian city of Sydney will organize activities within 16 days to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, one of the biggest festivals of the year in Sydney, which is home to a large Asian community.

The Dragon New Year celebration program will start from 5pm February 10 until February 25. As usual, the central neighborhood will erect five welcoming gates with cultural features typical to the countries celebrating the Lunar New Year: China, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea and Thailand.
With 70 activities taking place across the city, Sydney's Lunar New Year festival is one of the largest Lunar New Year celebrations outside of Asia.
