(VOVworld) – The Vietnam’s Administration of Sea and Islands will continue to refine the institutions and policies on marine and island resources, enhance staff capacity, increase international cooperation, and apply new technologies in its efforts to protect the national marine resources in 2014.

Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Chu Pham Ngoc stated this at Friday’s meeting to review the administration’s activities in 2013 and set tasks for 2014. In 2013, the administration focused on planning the use of marine and island resources, a strategy on the management, use and protection of natural resources for the socio-economic development of sea and islands, thus contributing to the implementation of Vietnam’s Marine Strategy by 2020.
