Mau Son Tourism Festival draws huge crowds
(VOVWORLD) - Tens of thousands of people gathered at Mau Son Tourism Festival 2019 on Sunday to attend a trip to the top of Phat Chi mountain, mountain hiking and cycling competitions, kite flying and traditional food festivals, and folk games.

The festival promotes Mau Son tourism in the northern mountainous province of Lang Son and responds to National Tourism Year, this year themed “Green Tourism”. It has also sought to attract investors to implement the master plan for Mau Son National Tourism Site development by 2030. Phan Van Hoa, Vice Director of the Culture, Sports, and Tourism Department of Lang Son province said: “After the festival, we will continue to promote Mau Son tourism and invest in other local tourist sites. We will connect districts to create new tours and call for investment in tourism development.”
The Mau Son mountain range is 30km east of Lang Son city, the border with China. The area is famous for snow and frost in winter when the temperature drops below zero.
