(VOVworld) – 30 Vietnamese businesses and 100 French businesses discussed ways to spur broader cooperation at Tuesday’s “Meet Vietnam” Forum in Paris.

Addressing the event, CEO Muriel Penicaud of the French Agency for International Business Development (UBIFRANCE) cited Vietnam as one of French business’s top priorities for export-import and investment activities. Penicaud told VOV’s correspondent in Paris that France’s strength can fulfill Vietnam’s development needs:“The energy sector and infrastructure development play an important role in France’s development. Our world leading groups in this field, including small and medium companies, have partnered with foreign countries in joint ventures and technological transfer. Vietnam should increase cooperation with France in fields like farm produce processing and pharmaceuticals"

Ms. Penicaud urged Vietnamese businesses to invest in France and pledged UBIFRANCE’s support for them.
