The Ho Chi Minh municipal authorities today/Friday held a get-together to commemorate the heroic revolutionary traditions of people in former Saigon-Gia Dinh area, now Ho Chi Minh city . Over the past 25 years of renewal process, the city has gained many significant achievements, contributing to stabilizing the political system, maintaining socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, promoting external activities while paying more attention to improving people’s living conditions. Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan spoke at the event: “Former Saigon-Gia Dinh area, now Ho Chi Minh City , has always played a vanguard role in the country’s revolutionary cause against the colonialists and imperialists in the past, as well as in the renewal period. The city has pledged to boost the country’s industrialization and modernization process while pursuing the socialism path. We promise to make the city more modern and developed to deserve its name under the name of the late President Ho Chi Minh.”
