(VOVworld) – A memorial temple for war martyrs and young volunteers was inaugurated at Truong Bon historical site in Do Luong district of the central province of Nghe An on Sunday.

In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that during the resistance war against US imperialists, Truong Bon was of strategic importance as it linked major routes to transport logistics from the north to the south, contributing significantly to the liberation of southern Vietnam and national reunification.

Phuc said that Truong Bon is a sacred land, symbolizing the revolutionary heroism of the nation, adding that the memorial temple honors the great sacrifices of the soldiers who laid down their lives for national independence as well as to educate younger generations on patriotism and national pride.
