(VOVworld) – Various activities designed for Hanoi’s youth kicked off Saturday in the capital city to encourage young people to promote their creativity and contribute to the community, to mark Hanoi Youth Union’s 5^th Congress. University students across Hanoi took part in “The Capital Creativity Festival” which displays unique and high-quality hand – made products, ranging from machinery models to handicrafts and clothes.

A blood donation program took place the same day as part the event. Chu Nhat Hop, President of Hanoi's Youth Association for Blood Donation, said: "Many blood donation activities are organized during the weekend. We cooperate with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to make it more convenient for blood donors. We also plan to set up reserve volunteer blood donation groups at colleges and residential areas in the near future."

A photo exhibition called “October Youth” opened Saturday morning, displaying hundreds of photos about the metropolitan youth’s activities, movements, and their contributions to capital city and country as well.
