The Zone 2 Coast Guard Command in Quang Nam province visited and gave 60 presents to children in the Rehab for Disabled Children of Phu Ninh district. Many of the children have been affected by Agent Orange dioxin. This year, Quang Nam province gave 6,000 gifts to local disadvantaged children. Nguyen Thuy, Deputy Head of the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, said that this year, all districts have organized Mid-Autumn festivals for local children. Thuy said: “Districts have organized more events to celebrate Mid-Autumn. We used the provincial budget to buy gifts for the children. Child care and child abuse prevention have been promoted. This year, the province takes special care of disadvantaged children, particularly those who are in rehabilitation, under treatment in hospitals, and in remote areas."

In addition to Mid-Autumn cakes, Vinh Long provincial authorities gave bicycles and wheelchairs to disadvantaged children. Thousands of children and adults gathered in the Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, for the 2019 Phan Thiet Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade.
