(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Minister of Public Security General To Lam on Tuesday received US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink on his farewell visit before ending his term of office.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam stressed that Vietnam hopes to continue its comprehensive partnership with the US based on respecting each other's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, mutual benefit and maintaining peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the wider world.
Minister Lam said he hopes the US will help the Vietnamese people get access to COVID-19 vaccines and will cooperate with the Vietnamese Government in transferring vaccine production technology.
Ambassador Kritenbrink said that in his next position, he will continue to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and between US agencies and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security.
