Ministry of Health concerned about possible 4th wave of COVID-19
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam may encounter the 4th wave of COVID-19 after 2 positive cases were found illegally entering Vietnam on Monday at Phu Quoc island aboard a fishing boat. One of them then traveled to HCM City by boat and road. The other boarded a flight to Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi and continued to Hai Phong by a private car.

Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long on Friday urged for strong measures to contain the disease, saying, “We ask localities to drastically implement all epidemic control measures under the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Health. Infrastructure should be prepared, the capacity of testing, tracing, isolation and treatment should be improved. The faster the measures are in place, the less the COVID-19 will impact on the community.”
The Ministry of Health asked the public not to be complacent and strictly implement the 5K Principle: Masks, Disinfection, Distance, No Crowds, and Medical Declaration.
