Deputy PM Hue made the remark at an online meeting of the Ministry of Planning and Investment in Hanoi on Wednesday to review last year’s performance and set out this year’s tasks. He called for removal of obstacles for national infrastructure projects and a focus on mid-term public investment policies from 2020 to 2025. He said: “The Ministry of Planning and Investment must be Vietnam’s center of intellects, identify strategic targets, viewpoints, and mindset and map out a vision until 2045. Attention must be paid to the relationship between rapid and sustainable development, between the State and the market, between independent, self-reliance economy and integration into the global economy, and the relationship between urban development and industrialization and building new rural areas.”
