Reuters cited an anonymous US defense official as saying that the attack is not a shift of President Donald Trump’s priorities.
The same day, Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull called the US’s missile attack at Assad airbase a “proportionate response” and opened the possibility of Canberra’s involvement in an expanded military operation led by the US in Syria.
Saudi Arabia said it fully supports the US air strike in Syria. American leading congress people have shown their support to the attack but some other warn that the US should not have more acts without the approval of the Congress.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the US air strike killed 4 Syrian soldiers and almost demolished Syria’s airbase.
Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned early Friday a US missile strike on a Syrian airbase as “an aggression against a sovereign state in violation of international law.”
