More biosphere reserves in Vietnam nominated at UNESCO
(VOVWORLD) - 2 biosphere reserves in Vietnam have been voted for UNESCO recognition at the 33rd session of the International Coordinating Council of the Man and the Biosphere program in Nigeria.

The biosphere reserves are Nui Chua in Ninh Thuan province and Con Ha Nung in Gia Lai province.
Le Thi Hong Van, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation by UNESCO, says Vietnam now has 9 biosphere reserves recognized by UNESCO and hopes to increase the total to 11 if these two reserves win votes at the meeting.
This is the first time since 2015 Vietnam’s biosphere reserves have been nominated for UNESCO recognition.
The results of the vote will be revealed on Wednesday
