(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s global innovation index ranks 5 positions higher in 2014. The Ministry of Science and Technology will accelerate the national programs approved by the Prime Minister in technological renewal, high tech and national product development. Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan said information technology, new materials, biotechnology and automation will be the focus areas for investment this year: “We have drafted an incentive policy benefiting scientists. Following the government issuance of Decree 40 on policies lenient to scientists, we have worked with the Ministries of Finance and Home Affairs to draft a joint circular on wages and allowances to honor scientists.”
