It said that in October Vietnam welcomed 1.42 million international visitors with the tourist market from Asian and European countries on the rise.

Asia contributed nearly 80% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam. Its four major Northeast Asian markets include South Korea, China, Taiwan (China), and Japan, which accounted for nearly 60% of the total arrivals.

In October, visitors from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Russia, and other European countries were up from September.

These markets benefit from a unilateral visa exemption policy for stays of up to 45 days, implemented since August 15, 2023.

With promotional and tourism development activities underway, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism expects to receive 17 million international arrivals this year.
