The passengers included children under 18 years old, elderly persons, sick people, students without accommodations due to university dormitory closures, and individuals in difficult circumstances.
Upon landing at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, the flight crew and all passengers were given heath examinations and quarantined.
At a press conference in Hanoi the same day, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said Vietnamese authorities are working to bring Vietnamese citizens from Uzbekistan home as soon as possible.
