Mozambique ranks 11th among countries Vietnam invests in, says Assembly President
(VOVWORLD) -Mozambican National Assembly President Esperanca Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias, arrived in Hanoi on Saturday, starting an official visit to Vietnam until June 23.

This is the first visit to Vietnam by Ms. Esperanca Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias in her current post since taking office in January 2020 and the first visit to Vietnam by a National Assembly Speaker of Mozambique. The visit aims to promote the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and Assemblies.

On Saturday evening, the Mozambican guests had a meeting with Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Ky. The National Assembly President emphasized that Mozambique currently ranks 11th out of 72 countries and territories Vietnam has invested in. Agriculture cooperation between the two countries has been boosted as both have many projects to share experiences and conduct training in agriculture and fishery development techniques while education and expert cooperation is maintained.
The Assembly President said she believes that the visit will contribute to furthering the relationship between Mozambique and Vietnam in general and with Quang Ninh province in particular, especially in agriculture and telecommunications technology.
