Multidimensional poverty rate to reduce to 2.93% at end of 2023
(VOVWORLD) - The multidimensional poverty rate in Vietnam will reduce to 2.93% in 2023, a drop of 1.1 percentage points compared to last year, according to the Government’s report on the implementation of the national program on sustainable poverty reduction.

Previously, the National Assembly and the Government set a target to reduce the ratio of poor households in 74 poor districts by 4-5 percentage points.
By the end of this year, nine additional communes are expected to be omitted from the list of specially disadvantaged communes.
