(VOVworld) - Myanmar Speaker Thura U Shwe Mann met Vietnam Investors Association in Myanmar on Sunday. The Speaker praised the association’s contribution to Myanmar’s socio-economic development.

He briefed participants on Myanmar’s active renovation policy with a focus on institutional reform, market open for economic growth while improving people’s living standards. After listening to comments and requests from Vietnamese investors, the Myanmar Speaker called for more Vietnamese investment in agriculture, hotel, tourism, finance and banking. Vietnamese investors expect to invest 1.5 billion dollars in Myanmar, ranking 5th in the top investors list by next year.
