National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan congratulates Nguyen Manh Hung on his new post as Minister of Information and Communications.

Hung, born in 1962 in Phu Tho province, was trained as an electronics and telecommunications engineer in the former Soviet Union. He earned a master’s degree in telecommunications from the University of Sydney, Australia, and holds another master’s degree in business administration from the National Economics University. Hung was General Director of the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group from 2014 to June this year and helped the group achieve successes.
