NA assesses key draft laws

(VOVworld) – On Friday, NA deputies assessed revised laws on science and technology, anti-corruption and the capital. The current law on science and technology needs to be revised to meet the requirements of the renewal process and international integration by fundamentally reforming the management and operations of this sector.
The revised capital draft law includes 16 specific policies and mechanisms to provide a firm legal basis for future municipal development. Chu Son Ha is Hanoi’s NA deputy ‘I think the draft law has been adjusted in pursuance to Politburo resolution 11. Accordingly, the National Assembly will institutionalize the Poliburo resolution on the municipal strengthening resources for the capital and ensuring its growth in the future. Every citizen should take responsibility for ensuring the capital’s development.’
National Assembly deputies today discussed amendments to the Law on Anti-Corruption. They called for more transparent and openness in personnel work, especially in recruitment, appointment and rotation as well as disclosure of public servants’ assets. Deputy Le Nam is from the central province of Thanh Hoa:“The organization of anti-corruption mechanism determines the success or failure of the fight against corruption. I agree on the transfer to anti-corruption agency to the Party Central Committee and headed by the Party leader.”
