(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue's upcoming official visit to Hungary creates an opportunity for the two sides to reaffirm political commitments to fostering the bilateral relationship, and contributing to economic recovery and sustainable development in the post COVID-19 period.

The statement was made by Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Nguyen Thi Bich Thao in a recent interview, adding that the visit would enhance cooperation on global issues including climate change.
According to Ambassador Thao, the two sides will sign agreements to strengthen regular and practical cooperation in the new period, and consult each other’s experience on safe adaptation and post-pandemic economic recovery.
The top legislators of the two countries will attend a seminar on improving the legal framework for renewable energy, the green economy, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions; promoting bilateral economic, trade and investment relations; and taking advantage of opportunities brought by the EVFTA agreement to increase trade turnover 10% per year.
Chairman Hue will also attend a seminar on bilateral economic, trade and investment and will meet with the Vietnamese business community in Europe.
